And, COVID is also the reason being given for the postponement of tomorrow's house meeting - which would have been the first business session of the house.
A communique from the National Assembly says the meeting has been postponed until further notice. The explanation given is, quote, "this has become necessary to ensure parliament meets the necessary COVID 19 Safety and Health protocols for any further meeting", end quote.
Sources tell us there is a plan to radically redesign the chamber to create more seating distance between members - and to limit or altogether eliminate access by the public and the press inside the chamber.
