But do they have the support of the Opposition Party? According to Smith, they always have – whether the opposition was blue or red. She explained that they will always side with the unions because it serves their agenda, however, she cannot say that they are particularly receptive of the support since they don't exactly ask for it.
Elena Smith - President, BNTU "If you recall in 2005 when we stood up against the Musa administration, if you go back and look at those videos, you will see those persons from the then opposition the UDP were there with us, some of them running away and getting caught, I think you will remember that. So, it has always been that whenever the unions stand up, the opposition would come and join, not that we invite them but they always be joining our activities because it is in their interest. Let's be honest, if you see a group of people standing up and fighting against a government and that is where you want to get, then it's in your best interest in joining them and it always happens that they come out and walk with us, join us, say that they support us and then they moment they become the government, it's like they forget all that they said, all that they did and they go and do things the opposite way. So, it's not for me to say whether I would accept because we have never accepted them to come join us, they just make much of the situation to benefit themselves, that's all."

Dean Flowers - First Vice President, PSU "We're not interested in party politics, we're not interested in embarrassing the government, and we're certainly not interested in bringing back 13 years of some of the worse corruption we have seen. What we want is for this system to be fixed. If it is that opposition supporters see it fit to join the union in tomorrow's rally, they are welcome, but they must leave their political biases and heir political flags at home because this movement is above politics."
PSU first Vice President, Dean Flowers, was also asked how they feel about the matter. He said they'll accept any type of support – as long as the political flags stay at home.
