And earlier today, the former AG also commented on the matter. While he couldn't give his own opinions since the matter is still in the court, he encouraged the government to appeal - even though he knows they aren't likely to take any advice from him.

"The matter is still live before the courts. I can give you my comments if 21 days passed and the government chooses not to appeal. If I were the government I would appeal the decision. If they choose not to appeal then I will give you my very unadulterated opinion on it, but until then the matter still being live in the courts I want to stay away from it. As an officer of the court I am duty bound to not comment on matters that are within the realm of the courts currently, but I would encourage the government to appeal it."
