We also asked Marshalleck to discuss the push by the Former PM and his attorney to get the Commission's Report struck down by the Supreme Court. He told us that he doesn't think that Barrow will succeed on that mission. Here is his justification:

E. Andrew Marshalleck, SC - Chairman, Commission of Inquiry

"When you look at the primary evidence cumulatively, even without the commission offering any comment on it whatsoever, I ask how would the public perceive it? And how much of the damage to reputation that is claimed has been occasioned by the comments from the Commission is in fact really damage flowing from the public's own assessment of the primary evidence, as it was presented before the Commission."

Daniel Ortiz
"I see that point very well, sir. But, those missteps, open the door for the entire report to be questioned. And Dean Barrow and his attorney are on a quest to get it completely rubbished."

E. Andrew Marshalleck, SC
"Correct. Those missteps do not open the door to the quashing of the full report, only to the statements of the quashing of the whole report, Mr. Barrow seeks to hinge on an argument of bias."

Daniel Ortiz
"Okay."

E. Andrew Marshalleck, SC
"He seeks to say that because I am a supporter of the PUP, I can't possibly be fair to him or Mr. Patt."

Daniel Ortiz
"Okay, I see that. But I'm saying. Wouldn't you - Wouldn't you have wanted to put your objectivity beyond reproach by avoiding these matters?"

E. Andrew Marshalleck, SC
"Sure, of course. Do you think it was deliberate?"

Daniel Ortiz
"I don't think."

E. Andrew Marshalleck, SC
"It wasn't deliberate."

Daniel Ortiz
"But, I'm saying."

E. Andrew Marshalleck, SC
"These things happen, and it happened and it having happened. All we can do is to acknowledge that it happened and seek to set it right. That's what we've done. That's what we promised we would do. That's what we've done. So the reports weren't shared? Well, it doesn't make anything, they said. The report from the ministry wasn't shared, but it doesn't make anything it said any more or less true. The criminal record wasn't shared. But, it doesn't make anything in it anymore or less true."
