And while the opposition numbers were few, as you heard Shyne say, they were feisty. But, he didn't put out much of a fight to complain how an allegedly PUP controlled school board railroad him out of the graduation guest speech math Julian Cho Technical High School.

We asked him about that after the meeting:

Hon. Shyne Barrow, Leader of the Opposition
"They invited me to speak there for a reason."

Jules Vasquez:
"40 of them did."

Hon. Shyne Barrow, Leader of the Opposition
"It doesn't mater, who vote, vote, you didn't say that in the Municipal Elections when there was a historical low voter turn out. In fact, you ignored that point. anyway, in Corozal Junior College, they invited me to speak. In Hope Creek, they invited me to speak. All based on my performance in the House. Certainly you are the highlight reel to all of my discussions because they say, man, the way you bad up Jules, you deserve a reward for that, you could retire now and don't even become prime minsiter, just the fact that you have conquered Jules and you will never go on Uncut again because you have conquered Uncut, we give you kudos."

"The students in one vote where the governor general was listed as one of the options voted for me and my understanding is that due to political pressure, the board rejected that and then put forth a list, as you said, an ethnically homogenous list in which then the governor general got the most votes. But for me, again, you can't redo votes right like I wish that opportunity was available, if there was a low voter turn out you can say oh well this election wont count because only certain amount of people came out. The students that voted in the first instance, their wishes should have been respect because they are not alone, this is not an anomaly, as I said, all the way in Corozal, that's the north, students voted for me to be their guest speaker, in Dangriga, students voted for me to be their guest speaker, in ACC, which I didn't get a chance to respond to confirm, they asked me to be their guest speaker so there's a third there, and I believe there's a reason they're asking me to be their guest speaker."
