As we show you at the top of the news, Prime Minister Briceno made it into the New York Times for his remarks in solidarity with Cuba and Venezuela - both counties are summit outcasts.

The Times calls his speech "remarkable" - delivered right in front of the US President Joe Biden.

But, Leader of the Opposition Shyne Barrow is not impressed. He says, quote, "Down with the dictatorships."

In a statement via Whstapp this evening, he says, quote, "The concept that because a country give you financial assistance then you wholesale normalize and accept their violations of human rights is what is reprehensible...To me it is nothing more than diplomatic prostitution.

Countries that oppress their people and rule by authoritarian decree should be be condemned and encouraged to change their ways...We that enjoy freedom should not abandon those that suffer under dictatorships..." End quote.
