And we had one "brata" question for the Compol. It's slightly cute, but deadly serious, even though the COMPOL tried to play it off with a smile:
Jules Vasquez
"How long does it take a police officer if he/she enters as a constable and let's say has an associate degree, how long would it taken them to reach the pay scale where they make $42,000 annually, what's knows as the Geovannie Brackett pay scale."
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"I don't want to touch that thing, Jules."
Jules Vasquez
"It's a fair question, sir. A police officer would have to work 25 years to get to $42,000."
According to our information, starting teachers or police officers would have to work for more than three decades to get to the level of Brackett's annual compensation package of just about 48 thousand dollars a year.
And while he is contracted as an information consultant at the Government Press Office, reports suggest he has never been to that office as an employee. The PSU president has called him a ghost employee. Brackett has declined comment, citing public service regulations.
