And while Fonseca was representing for Freetown today, he'll be facing a new UDP opponent in the next general election. That's because after crushing his opponent OJ Elrington in the 2020 election, a new contender has appeared. He is Alobi Young, a newcomer to politics who is the son of Colville Young Jr. The 5 term rep told us Alobi is a good kid, and wished him luck:
Jules Vasquez
"OJ Elrington, the great vanquished OJ has stepped down and has ceded a very good interview as well. He has ceded to Mr. Alobi Young. Are you aware of who this is? Is this something that concerns you? He is a very young man; he is a musician. This is your next opponent in Freetown, are you ready?"
Francis Fonseca, Ministry of Education

"I know Alobi. Alobi has studied in Taiwan I believe. Obviously, he is the grandson of Sir Colville Young. I know Alobi, I don't know him well, but I know him as a young man. I've interacted with a few times. I'm sure he is a fine young man and I always have great love for the artists, so the fact that he is a musician and artist make me even more fond of him. So, I'm sure he is a good guy, but like everybody else who comes to Freetown, he will learn the hard way that the people of this constituency are absolutely focused on work and moving forward. So, we never have concerns about Freetown. Everybody else does and everybody always predicts what will happen here and every time we prove people like Jules wrong, so we're going to continue to do that."
