
And the PUP were also navigating allegations of corruption in the Ministry of Transport. Minister Rodwell Ferguson was accused of having a personal interest in air conditioning units paid for by his Ministry - units which supposedly never reached government offices. Ferguson flatly and emphatically denied the allegations, and today the PM said that it was nothing more than political mischief.

"We asked for the information from within the ministry, and as far as we know, there's no such thing that 25 AC's were done into, I think the allegation was that they put 25 AC's in his hotel, to begin with, he doesn't have 25 rooms, let's start with that. So certainly it's just political mischief."

"What about the tension between him and his CEO, is the Cabinet trying to work through that?"

"Well, it's a matter, not for the Cabinet, but it's a matter for myself and we're finding ways on how both of them can continue to work together. I think so far they've worked well together so it's just a matter of sitting down and talking to them."
