He says he never saw it and never signed off on it - and even though his cabinet colleague Erwin Contreras apparently did both - UDP Senator Mike Peyrefitte says he wants to see the definitive agreement between the Government of Belize and the Port of Magical Belize.
Peyrefitte has now made a Freedom of Information request to the Prime Minister asking for the document saying, quote, "that the likelihood of the existence of a Definitive Agreement...is very high."
He adds, quote, "It has also recently come to my attention that that purported agreement was signed by a Minister more or less a month before the last general elections."
Peyrefitte requests verification that the agreement, signed and executed, does exist and asks for a copy - which, up to last week, the Prime Minister himself said he had not seen, but, like Peyrefitte, believes does exist.
