And before he could assess that complaint, he had another one incoming. Just a few minutes ago, the Leader of the Opposition sent his own complaint of corruption to the Ombudsman.
In a straight copycat move, Shyne Barrow has written to the Ombudsman requesting an investigation into Prime Minister Briceno.
He laughably lifts almost word for word entire sections of the letter from the Port of Belize but switches things up, saying "We hereby request that you investigate the circumstances that led to the Minister of Finance and Economic Development attempting to have the GOB Cabinet approve for legislation the invalid, illegal, unauthorized Definitive Agreement..."
Barrow's letter urges the Ombudsman to investigate the Prime Minister for wrongdoing.
