But, the Ashcroft Alliance is not being so blasé. Their Port of Belize has filed suit against Contreras for misfeasance!
Notice of a civil suit served on Contreras today claims for "Damages, including general, aggravated and exemplary damages, against the Defendant, ERWIN CONTRERAS…for misfeasance in public office arising from the Defendant's deliberate, willful, unlawful and clandestine signing of the Definitive Agreement between Portico Enterprises Limited, The Port of Magical Belize, and the Government of Belize dated 1st October 2020, which resulted in financial losses to the Claimant"
They are asking the court to award them aggravated and exemplary damages. We asked Contreras for a comment today, but got no response.
