Tonight, the Director of the Department of Youth Services has been placed on Administrative Leave, accused of major misconduct.
As we told you on Friday night, he's accused of carrying out some level of academic fraud for submitting paperwork for a master's degree when he had no degree. The letter sent to him on Friday by CEO Adele Cartzim says, quote, "Your Master of Business Administration from the University of the West Indies, dated October 19, 2012, served as the foundation for an investigation by the Ministry of Youth, Sports, and Transportation.
This serves to inform you of the intent to take disciplinary action against you for major misconduct in accordance with the Belize Public Service Regulations. We note that major misconduct includes fraud or dishonesty.
The CEO tells him that the Ministry has launched an investigation into the matter and placed him on Administrative Leave effective yesterday.
Cadle has maintained to us in text messages that he is no fraud.
