FM Says Sarstoon Protocol Urgently Needed

It may be the most esoteric and obscure part of the September Celebrations - but, every year, diplomats by the dozen who track into Belize for the celebrations - ar hosted at a diplomatic briefing by the Minister of Foreign Affairs. This year the hour long presentation was captured by the press office and it sees Courtenay discussing several issues and concerns involving different countries. Near the end, he spoke about the ongoing tension with Guatemala, and the incident in the Sarstoon on the 10th weekend. As we told you, the BTV made their annual trip out there, only to have three flags uprooted and confiscated by the GAF. Courtenay said that a Sarstoon protocol is long overdue.
