He's hoping to dance his way right through a recall petition - but Anthony Boots Martinez's "bruk down boogie" may have broken down for real this time after he missed another deadline to present his signatures.

At his last press conference to explain the missed September deadline, he said he would present 2,500 signatures on his new deadline of October second. Well, that was yesterday and we didn't hear anything out of the Boots camp. When we checked with him today, the former 4 term representative was undaunted. He said he is again extending the deadline for another month. Martinez said he has the required 1,500 signatures to trigger the recall mechanism, but now he's aiming for 65% of the registered voters in the area.

And while Boots continues to move the goalposts, best reports say he is positioning himself to run independently against the UDP's Phillip Willoughby and the PUP's Gilroy Usher. No surprises there - but we'll keep following the antics in Port.
