And while Barrow says the UDP has viable alternatives, the PUP is riding it out with its proven slates. And, to give them a boost down the final stretch, road works and street repairs have magically commenced in cities and towns all across the country.
It's the usual PUDP scramble to seduce voters on false accomplishments - but, it's a formula that rarely fails.
Shyne Barrow says it will this time though:
Shyne Barrow, Leader of the Opposition
"Coming in 90 days before elections and fixing streets and bailing out municipal governments is not the type of synergy that was promised and not what is to be hoped for."
Jules Vasquez
"But they are peaking at the right time. Sir, weeks before election street di start get pave, thing di happen."

Shyne Barrow, Leader of the Opposition
"Do you know? Don't insult..."
Jules Vasquez
"It's it's a cynical cycle but it works."
Shyne Barrow, Leader of the Opposition
"It does not work. It did not work in many instances for various governments. PUP and UDP. It does not work. I have far more confidence in the Belizean people. People will not suffer for three years. Then you come around 90 days before the elections and you think they will take that light. They will look at you and say, All right, thanks. Appreciate it. And you will see election day."
"Have you ever seen a more dysfunctional relationship between local and central?"
Jules Vasquez
"It's outstanding."
Shyne Barrow, Leader of the Opposition
"Can I hear you say that for your sound byte? Because you gave a PUP narrative sound byte."
Jules Vasquez
"Yes, sir. But I'm just saying voters vote in their own interest."
Shyne Barrow, Leader of the Opposition
"And their own interests is to get rid of the PUP cancer because that is the only way a message will be sent to central government that they need to tighten up!"
