So while we wait for the collaboration between MIDH and CitCo, it's been over a month since the amalgamation of two of the biggest ministries: Education, Culture, Science and Technology, and Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade. That's six sectors of citizen life that one man, Francis Fonseca, is responsible for. And the question on everyone's mind has been: why combine them? Today we asked the PM for the reasoning behind it.

John Briceno, Prime Minister

"What happened is that, one, the timing of it was right there in December when we were going to make the change and I did ask Minister Fonseca to take on this challenge but we know that his heart is also in education so as a compromise what we did is that he takes on Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade and I hold on to Immigration for the time being until we can settle and decide how best to distribute some of these other ministries."

Courtney Menzies:
"I'm sure you've heard others say that it would have made more sense to just elevate Dr Zabaneh."

John Briceno, Prime Minister
"That's the opinion of some people and I respect that."

Reporter:
"Sir but is that an option that may be considered?"

John Briceno, Prime Minister
"All options are always on the table, we consider everything but at the end of the day we have to look at the entire picture and not just on one individual ministry and so it's something that's always here to consider."
