And while the Prime Minister has many weighty matters like those to juggle, he's not long for his office. He's a politician who loves to tour - and with elections at hand, he's even more ready for the road.
The Prime Minister says that he's eager to resume his countrywide tour. He says that his tours enable him to connect with people and gauge their needs:
John Briceno, Prime Minister
"I've been doing that since last year I started out and I've been all over the country. On Thursday I was in Corozal and then this next coming week I'll be down south. I'm very excited. You know we have the elections but more importantly it's a chance to be able to meet with the people and the voters and talk to them. Hear them out what it is that they like what they do not like how we can improve and again continue to ensure that we will continue to do more work. A lot has been done but a lot more needs to be done."
"I do feel that there is still a lot of support for our government and for our councils. Not everyone is happy of course not but the important thing is I believe that majority of the people have seen what we are doing and want to continue to support the work we are doing."
