And so while that was the situation this morning - when we spoke to the Deputy Prime Minister around 12:00 - as you saw in the story - he suggested that things should have already been resolved.

Here are the rest of his remarks:

Cordel Hyde, Area Representative Lake Independence

"A couple of weeks ago, two weeks ago, 13 days to be precise, we had an agreement. We sat down and we had an argument. We had two meetings and an agreement and everything looked well. Everything looked good."

"And then, as I've learnt, like things get lost in translation. As you pointed out, all these people live the same movement, but all these people have different interpretation. And so, that got lost. Things are lost in the translation and the devil is always in details."

"I'm hopeful that when we meet on Monday that we'll be able to to have some agreement like we had two weeks ago There was an agreement again this morning. It was my sense that the stevedores would go work the ship in good faith and Monday we'll have that meeting."

"No Monday seems kind of far, but it's right here, right? And I am saying to them listen, we've been through this process for years. We've been back and forth for years. There's been pain for years, but it's a commitment that we'll have a meeting on Monday. When you previously had a meeting we had solutions, we had good respectful conversation. We have to figure it out."
