The Belize City Mayor has assigned portfolios to his new council, and, to no one's surprise, his son-in-law, Eluide Miller has emerged as a power player in the council. He is in charge of Traffic Management, Local Economic Development, Trade & Investment, and Small & New Business.
As expected, Deputy Mayor Allan Pollard also holds a heavy portfolio with Works & Infrastructure, Urban Development, and Labor Relations.
Newcomer Evan Thompson also scored big with the Market Management & Community Engagement portfolio.
And Kaya Cattouse also got a weighty portfolio for Sanitation & Maintenance, Women & Children, Special Needs & Diverse Abilities Initiatives, and After School Programs.
