Last week, Brian "Yellowman" Audinett went from defeated UDP councillor candidate to being out of a job.
He was fired by the party Secretary General - but Yellowman says he believes that came straight from the top - his own area representative and party leader Shyne Barrow.
The UDP claims that Yellowman stole applicants from the party headquarters. We asked him about it today when he staged a streetwise press conference in Queens Square:

"Did you, as the allegation is, steal or participate in the theft of a microwave, a refrigerator and a TV from the UDP Secretariat?"

"Absolutely not, Jules. Jules, I took 2 refrigerators, a TV and a microwave to the United Democratic Party when Miss Carol Babb was the secretary general of the party and I told Shary and Michael Peyrefitte that since I cannot come back at the party office, the party that I fought for all my life while Shyne sit down in a prison in America, that I will take my stuff from the office. This is after receiving this letter. So that is absolute lie."

"How can it be your stuff, do you have a receipt for it?"

"Yes, I can present my receipt for it. If I had known you would ask me for a receipt, I would have gotten the receipt for you. It happened a good while ago. I think I have one for the fridge - I have for the 2 refrigerators, I believe. I don't know about the TV."

"But is it for you or is it for Miss Carol Babb?"

"No, it's mine. I went and got those and brought those to the office. At the time the office didn't have any fridge and nothing. I think I got the one downstairs first and then afterwards I went and got the one for upstairs."

"A settlement deed was proposed, did you sign it?"

"Absolutely not. Shyne believes that everybody is chasing money and that people are desperate."
"What he needs to tell the media is the absolute reason why he fired me, because I told him he is not fit to lead the party and this is no joke about that. HE IS NOT FIT!"

"Will you stay away from the party?"

"Absolutely not. I am a UDP. No man who wasn't here, when we were fighting in Belmopan for the rights of people and so, taking rubber bullets defending our party will stop me from go to my party. My party believes in poor people. Shyne Barrow believes in dictatorship and how he wants to control you and make you do what he wants."
"If he say the sky is blue and you say its red, you will get fired."
"But I should starve, my children who I have at home should not eat, but his kid who he has home could eat - something have to wrong there. What kind of human being is that? How you will look at me and tell me Yellow, you will not feed your child? You will starve and whoever is in your family will starve, but my family will eat, because we are not paying you any money. That is unfair man. I want to cry. I was trying to bring eye water on this fool, but it's hard for me to cry, because I am tough."
