We've been reporting on a land dispute between villagers - who live on a plot of land - and the village council - which wants to put a cemetery there.
Today the police accompanied authorities to the village to find the root of the hostility between some of the villagers and the village chairman.
The villagers are of the view that they are being wrongfully kicked off the land that they cleared and built their homes on to make way for a cemetery. When they were asked if they had ownership papers of the land, one resident said that they made several attempts to apply but were given the runaround due to political differences.
The villagers are now requesting court action and believe they are being harassed and threatened by the local police and village chairman.
