Turning now to politics, UDP Leader Shyne Barrow held one of his regular press briefings today.
In about 50 minutes he covered a variety of subjects and one of them focussed on the events at San Ignacio Community Hospital - and government's reaction to the exposure of the details of a violent night:
Shyne Barrow, Leader of the Opposition
"And in the instance of the San Ignacio health facility where the medical professionals had no other option than to go to the media, the fact that the Minister of Police, I don't believe you've even heard from the Minister of Health on that matter."

"I haven't seen him even take an interview on that matter, even come out and say what went wrong and how they will ensure that it doesn't go wrong again. And that is the problem with this Briceno administration, hubristic, just the height of contemptuous behaviour consistently and what happened in San Ignacio health facility and the response is what is so disgusting."
"I urge the government to reverse course and just accept their shortcomings. I urge the health minister to figure out how he can work in conjunction with the Ministry of Police to ensure that these things don't happen."
"But the problem with this Briceno administration is nothing ever goes wrong with them. It's Jules Vasquez fault, it's the media house fault, it's the medical professionals fault because they don't have trust and confidence in the ministries."
"It's their fault that they don't have trust and confidence in the ministries. This is absurd."
