Port Authority Board Parts Ways With Commissioner Of Ports

The Commissioner of Ports is no longer with the Port Authority. Now, one narrative says she resigned while the Chairman of the Board, Major Lloyd Jones told us he believed it to be an amicable separation on terms decided by the board under her contract.

While there are suggestions that Gaitan was pushed out as the Port Authority is under political pressures, Jones denied that.

He says Gaitan has been invited by the board to serve in another capacity.

Gaitan was promoted from within the organization and was seen as a departure form the usual political appointments.
