Last night we told you all about the much anticipated statement coming out of Cabinet about the Budna investigation. They have decided to launch an independent investigation and return Commissioner Richard Rosado to duty.
Today, the UDP rejected those recommendations in an almost two hour long press conference. The leader of the opposition called yesterday's release a slap to the face of the Belizean public:

"It was with great dismay that I read the press statement that was disseminated yesterday by the Prime Minister following his cabinet meeting."
"In my view, such a statement, and the lack of any relevant information is a slap, a hard slap in the faces of all Belizeans. It is, in my humble view, a national disgrace and signals what has now become the hallmark of this Briceno administration: there are always more questions than answers."
