Today, not surprisingly, Minister Henry Charles Usher - who is a former full-time employee of the Credit Union - and is still a regular presence there - had a very different take. He held the family line and said that Channel 7 had crossed the line in sharing what he said was a preliminary report:

Henry Charles Usher, Minister of Public Service, Governance, and Disaster Risk Management

"WellI think, I would leave that matter for the HRCU to respond to. Certainly it is very concerning when anybody's personal financial information is released. I'm sure your news media manager wouldn't want his personal financial information released to the public. So I find it very concerning. The laws do not, are very clear that this information is confidential. I do believe that the report that was shared was a preliminary report, but like I said, I think that, HRCU will give its own response, but I think I and I hope that we HRCU will gives its response and clears up the matter that that is also aired on your news, program."
