Unionist Is New SSB Nominee On BTL Board

And when the BTL board does meet it will have a new Director from the Social Security Board. After SSB Chairlady Chandra Nisbet Cansino abruptly resigned from the BTL Board on the eve of the January 9th board meeting - SSB has now selected a replacement.

And, the powers that be are likely unhappy with the choice. Anissa Perdomo - the NTUCB representative on the SSB board will now take a seat on the BTL board.

This came out of a meeting yesterday evening where we are told her selection was heavily contested, but she emerged as the choice. It's bad news for the government friendly board - but Perdomo is a respected unionist and currently the first vice president of the PSU.

In related news, the NTUCB Executive also met with the UDP today.
