ComPol Explains Who Asked For Protest Permit And Who Got It

And today's demonstration was in fact legal as an application was made by the PUP to protest:

"Commissioner, has a permit been issued for a demonstration out here today?"

"We did receive 2 applications, 1 from the NTUCB and one from the PUP. The one from the NTUCB they decided to re-cancel their application for today's protest."

"So none was received from the UDP?"

"No application was received from the opposition. The PUP did submit an application to protest and that was approved."
