And turning back now to yesterday's interview with the Foreign Minister, we asked Francis Fonseca as an experienced politician if he would have counseled the Belmopan Mayor and Area Rep for renouncing murder victim Zamar Alvarez as a non resident. Here's what he said:

Jules Vasquez
"Would you have counseled the area rep for Belmopan and the mayor of Belmopan to walk back the remarks and apologize when they said that Zamar Alvarez was not from Belgium and he was an outsider?"

Francis Fonseca, Minister of Culture

"No, no, I didn't hear what they said. So it's very unfair to ask me to comment on what they said when I did not see their interview. I don't know what they said, so, I'll reserve my comment on that. Obviously any death in any community, I think the leaders of that community, should acknowledge that death, with dignity, you know, and recognize that it's a loss, to their community. So, you know, I say that speaking in general terms, as I said, without having heard what they said in response to, any question that was put to them."
