Hoop Dreams for 2 High School Students

Regionally Belize's basketball program has gone from a powerhouse to an "also-ran", and with foreign talent crowding out the semi pro ranks, it's unclear where the new elite talent will come from. But there is hope in two high school players who are going to a summer camp sponsored by the NBA and FIBA. Bernard Felix of Wesley College and Joslyn Valerio of Orange Walk Technical will leave Belize this Sunday for Rio de Janeiro Brazil for the camp which will run from June 28 to July 3. The players will receive instruction from International NBA players including Eduardo Najera, and Dikembe Mutombo.
