And, turning now to sports news, there was outrage in football circles yesterday when a player who had been banned for 5 years in 2018 for punching female referee, Yuri Daniels appeared back on the roster of a Corozal football team in the Corozal Football Association tournament.
He is Darnel Mossiah and he had been banned from entering all National Sports Council stadiums, but somehow he was welcomed by the Calcutta Strikers.
Well, once word got out, the FFB sent a release saying that Mossiah has been removed from the roster with immediate effect and is to continue serving his ban.
And, the Chairman of the Corozal District Sports Committee has banned the Calcutta Strikers from all Sports Council owned facilities for the remaining amateur tournament of the Corozal Football Association.
