And finally tonight it's World Table tennis Day and, to celebrate, Belize Table Tennis Association President Arturo 'Tux' Vasquez got his players together for a celebration of the sport and a nod to its historical role in diplomacy.

Our 7News cameras headed to the Mexico Centre this evening to see the players in action. Here's more:

Arturo 'Tux' Vasquez, President, Belize Table Tennis
"It's really just to commemorate and to celebrate to do something different on that day. It's the 5oth Anniversary of what they call Ping pong diplomacy which is when the U.S. and China had joined together so on the 50th anniversary the international federation had decided that what we should do is do some collaboration some peacemaking and as a result, we thought that the Belize Guatemala relationship could be something on which we could reflect and that's the reason why we are doing something combined between Belize and Guatemala and we have the Guatemalan Ambassador here with us as well."

Roberto Archila, Guatemalan Ambassador to Belize
"Young people are the future of the world. They are taller they have more energy to play any sport and this is the opportunity to have for sure in the close future we can bring a Guatemalan team to play in goodwill you know, only a very short tournament between Belize and Guatemala but the future of the world is with these young people. This is a very good opportunity to show to the world the good relations that we have between Belize and Guatemala."

Belize Table Tennis players will travel to Central America in May for a regional competition.
