TD 9 Will Become A Hurricane This Weekend

Tonight, a Tropical Storm watch has been issued for Jamaica while a Hurricane Watch has been issued for The Cayman Islands. That is in response to Tropical Depression #9 which has formed 430 miles east southeast of Jamaica with winds currently at 35 miles per hour. But it is forecast to become a tropical storm by tonight and the center of the cyclone is forecast to pass south of Jamaica on Saturday night and Sunday, and approach the Cayman Islands on Sunday night and early Monday - by which time, it is forecast to be a hurricane.

The public is advise to tune in to their weather report because the storm is moving across the central Caribbean Sea within reach of Belize.
