Mount Carmel Credit Union Holds AGM; Still No Audited Financials

They're out three hundred thousand dollars, and their former accountant is accused of stealing the money, but members of the Mount Carmel Credit Union still smilingly held their 44th annual general meeting yesterday evening. But, like Sunday dinner without the rice and beans, this AGM had no audited financial report, and only a disappointing 200 members turned out for the event. More should turn out in six months time when the audited financials should be ready. Those financials should show the full extent of the misappropriation of funds.
