One man with a telling perspective on today's events is Lindbergh Tucker, husband of Cherry Tucker who was allegedly shot 8 times by Pipersburgh and Robateau. while he has refrained from comment earlier, today the still deeply grieving husband and father agreed to an interview to say that the sudden celebrity of the fugitive duo is appalling, but not surprising:

When Pipersburgh and Robateau were marched up the stairs to the court, the gaggle of onlookers cheered and Pipersburgh even gave a celebratory wave. Mr. lindburgh, how does that make you feel?
Lindbergh Tucker
To be honest, that doesn't feel a lot different from what I thought would have happened. For a fact, I see this is the way our nation is glorifying this thing right now. In the beginning the Bible said that Adam and Eve fall short and from then they had to work hard for whatever they need for their lifestyle. But today, people work hard for their livelihood, they work honestly, and we are killed, we are beaten down by these criminals. They get away from Belize, they get away from our law system but I want them to know that justice will be served by the almighty.

People we've interviewed said that these guys have had a hard run, that they are in need of leniency. What do you say to that?
Lindbergh Tucker
I really cannot make any good comment to that because the way our system is in Belize right now, I expect anything, honestly. I expect that maybe in a couple months time they will be back out on the streets or the chances are they will go back behind there and kill somebody else in the prison. It's just the way the system is right now. It really stinks.

Do you think they are deserving of leniency, however?

If they did this, if they shoot those two security guards and after like maybe half an hour or so have such a cold blood to go and kill a woman and a man in such a cold-blooded way I don't see what type of leniency they deserve. I really and truly doesn't see it.

Do you want these people to hang, do you feel that that is justice?
Lindbergh Tucker
I will not comment on that, honestly. My heart should be clean and I want my heart should be clean. It's very hard for me to lose such a beautiful, hard, dedicated woman. She was every, every thing in my life. This is my little daughter here. She could attest to it. She and, my wife and my daughter, they were close. I look at her sometimes and I cry for hours, you know. Its so hard.
