The throes and woes of what looks to be impending bankruptcy continue to shake Intelco, and after Friday's notice of restructuring now 7NEWS has received sound reports that the company has fired the entire upper management including irrepressibly glib CEO Juan Mackenzie, his assistant Steve Anderson, Information Systems Manager Carlos Namis and Director of Operations Ivan Tesecum.

That's right, they've all been released along with some other local managers. The man in charge is now Chairman Glenn Godfrey who is basically trying to position the company as best as possible for a buyout. Presently buyout discussions between Jeffrey Prosser's ICC and Intelco are stalled, and the company is also entertaining an offer from Digicel in Jamaica. The irony of all this is that interconnection on the cellular system, so long awaited, yet so elusive, is expected to be effective at the end of the month. Why now? Well analysts say Intelco is effectualizing this to enhance its selling position.
