Belize has come a long way since the days of dial-up internet access. And while high speed internet access via DSL or Cable is where we are at, wireless internet access is where the future is going to be.
Imagine getting video and audio from your office in the Corozal Free Zone to your head office in the city all without wires? It can happen and Motorola is one of the companies that has pioneered the technology. This week they are shopping their Canopy System to Belizean businesses alongside their local agent Tenchtronics at a two day seminar. Bearcom's Sales Rep. Dorian Garcia and Tenchtronics' Sales Manager Erica Bahadur broke down the tech gibberish and explained why wireless works.
Dorian Garcia, Sales Representative - Bearcom
"The system allows you to bring internet to places far away without using cables, wireless systems. It's a very stable system so I think it's another way you can access internet. People will be able to connect on the internet, people who for example come here on business will be able to connect with their office and I think it will be an additional benefit you can offer to the customers from hotels and tourists places."
Erica Bahadur, Sales Manager at Tenchtronics
"You can monitor your business. If you have different branches over the country, you can just log on to the internet and see what is happening at that branch. So a lot of people will enhance their business, upgrade it to that so that they can see whatever their employees are doing so they can be aware of what is happening."
The Motorola Canopy is available at Tenchtronics. The seminar at the Princess Hotel ends tomorrow.
