Fidel Castro Honors George Price

Belize's National Hero George Price has received the highest honor bestowed on a non-national by the Government of Cuba.

On Friday, Cuba's President Fidel Castro conferred Price with the Jose Marti Award. It's a lofty honor for the much praised Price because past recipients include past South African President Nelson Mandela, and South American writer Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

During his three day visit, Price also met with Belizean medical students.
