The bus situation tonight stands very much as it has over the past few days, with the Novelo brothers continuing to operate their National Transportation Bus Line's service to and from Benque Viejo. This despite the Transport Board's decision to impound the buses that are operating illegally.
But though it sounds dramatic, impoundment is not just a one step process. Presently, the Transport Board can only move on four National Transportation buses that have received summonses for operating without a road service permit. Of course, there are dozens of other National buses that have received no summons, and those that have not, cannot be impounded until they do get a summons for operating illegally. As always, we will continue to monitor an increasingly mottled situation.
