Step into BTL and you'll get arrested! That's what BTL's Chairman, Keith Arnold today said to its other Chairman, Jeffrey Prosser. Arnold makes his bold declaration in a two page letter sent today to Herbert Sampson, who is Prosser's attorney. It's a response to a notice of a board meeting that Prosser, calling himself the Chairman, issued on Friday. Prosser says he's coming to Belize for that meeting, and according to our reports has already booked hotel rooms.
In Arnold's angry response, he says, "should you attempt to enter the BTL compound on Saint Thomas Street...then the company will take whatever steps it considers appropriate including…possible arrest…for trespass." Arnold ends by telling Sampson that if Prosser intends to visit Belize, he should take the time to pay his debts, in full.
Fighting words, and BTL's management was dishing it in all directions today, warning union leaders that it had reported them to police. We'll tell you all about that letter in our second segment - when we also look at the protest planned for Saturday in Belize City.
