The wall at the Fort Street Tourism Village is back in the news tonight, and that’s because attorneys for Brown Sugar are preparing to go to the Privy Council. Fred Lumour confirmed that he today filed an application with the Court of Appeal asking for leave to appeal to the Privy Council. A hearing will now have to be held to determine if the leave will be granted. And while it is expected to be given, Lumor explains that that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re going to England. He said his clients are trying to reserve their options because they have only a limited time to file the appeal – and if they failed to make a filing within that time, they would have lost the option to appeal.
