Barrow Gets $25 million Check from Taiwan

Taiwan’s Ambassador to Belize Ting Joseph Shi today handed over a US$12.5 million check to Prime Minister Dean Barrow. That’s $25 million in budgetary support, and it comes right in time for the budget presentation which is scheduled for Monday, July 14th. The contribution represents one half of the 50 million Belize dollar programme of budgetary assistance that the Taiwanese have committed to for this first year of the Barrow administration.
