The statistical institute of Belize today announced that the quarterly rate of inflation reduced by one tenth of one percent in the last quarter. The marginal second quarter decline was due to a decrease in prices for food beverages and tobacco which fell by 3.7%. But transportation and fuel went up by 8.8%.
