Atlantic Bank Limited is looking to grow its micro, small, and medium enterprises portfolio, including for those in the tourism and productive sectors, hardest hit by COVID-19.
They're going to do that through a 20 million US dollar loan from IDB Invest.
The infusion is meant to address limited access to finance by MSME's - which generate over 70% of Belize's private sector employment and income while contributing significantly to the country's GDP.
The primary objective of the project is to increase this access by supporting the growth of the bank's loan portfolio.
