Earlier we told you about the fuel tanker arriving in the country a short while ago. And while we don't know what the price point of regular and premium will be - we do know the new price for butane, or LPG as it is properly known.

The price will go down at midnight.

The previous wholesale price was $3 dollars and 59 cents per gallon, but on Thursday, that will decrease to 3 dollars and 39 cents per gallon.

Previously, the retail price for LPG in urban areas was 1 dollar and 18 cents per pound, or 1189 dollars for a hundred pint cylinder. When the change goes into effect in a few hours from now, the new prices will be 1 dollar and 13 cents per pound or 113 dollars per hundred pound cylinder. Prices will be a little higher in the districts.

Jose Trejo, the Controller of Supplies, notes that this monthly decrease in May is mainly due to lower acquisition and freight costs for both butane and propane.
