The countrywide fuel shortage extended into today - with many gas stations saying they were out of premium and regular. Much of this was induced by so called panic-buying yesterday, but, the bottom line is if you needed gas today - you were likely told, check back tomorrow.
And that's because the fuel tanker arrived into port this evening. We captured this footage of the Bardon coming into Port one hour ago.
It is loaded with about 1.6 million gallons of regular, 175,000 thousand gallons of premium as well as jet fuel.
The tanker pulled into the Puma Depot a short while ago and Puma has promised that supply should be normalised by Thursday. They say the arrival of the ship was delayed by weather conditions in the Gulf of Mexico.
Some in the industry complained to us that PUMA had been rationing fuel for a few weeks now - thus fuel station reserves were low.
Whatever the case, everything should return to normal tomorrow, but what is not yet known is the new price-point.
