Belize Beef continues to move north to Mexico - and through the formal channels - which means extended quarantine to eliminate bovine diseases. The Ministry of Agriculture reports that a total of 243 cattle were placed under quarantine for the Mexican Market for 21 days. Of the 243, a total of 195 animals met export requirements. After some of the usual delays in paperwork, the animals crossed over into Mexico today. That amounted to an export of just above 90,000 thousand pounds valued at $82,000 US dollars.

The beef is being bought by SuKarne Meat Company.
