Yesterday, we showed you the signing of the Cooperation Agreement between the Belize Bureau of Standards and Mexico's Association of Normalization and Certification.

ANCE has agreed to provide the Bureau of Standards with training and technical support for the long term, especially as the Bureau prepares for the roll-out of a pilot project from CARICOM called the voluntary Energy Efficiency Labelling Scheme (EELS) for Refrigerators, Air Conditioners, and Lighting. This project will start in Belize first, and yesterday, the Director of the Bureau explained to the press that ANCE was strategically selected in the context of that pilot project:
