During the BSCFA's press conference yesterday, the media asked the Association's leadership for a summary of the outstanding disputes that are preventing them from signing a commercial agreement with BSI/ASR.
According to Chairman Andy Westby, there are only three outstanding matters that they and the millers can't agree on. Here are those comments:
Andy Westby - Chairman, BSCFA Council of Management
"[There are] three things that are really on the table, which are in great contention. It's just three things: one, the length of the agreement, two: the justified payment for bagasse, and [three:] the sixty-forty payment that we are putting forward. Those are the three things that are in contention right now, which that need to be resolved so that we could have an agreement."
