33-year-old Tanesha Banner is still hospitalized after she was shot while heading home to Double Head Cabbage from Burrell Boom Village on Sunday night. As we've reported, she was in a vehicle with Coastguardsman Lee Busano and 18-year-old Chesterfield Baptist when another vehicle sped alongside them and a passenger opened fire, hitting all of them.

Banner remains in a coma tonight and according to her aunt, Mary Flowers, she needed to undergo a CT Scan, and it was discovered that she had swelling and internal bleeding as a result of the gunshot to her head. She now needs a second surgery, and her family is asking the public for financial assistance to help pay for her medical bills. Flowers can be reached at 610-9411.

And as you know, the shooter, Veris Ventura, was killed by Busano in self-defense. But the driver of the SUV pushed his body out of the vehicle in front of the hospital and sped off. Now, the family is concerned that the police may be dragging their feet in arresting this accomplice and they are asking for justice to be done.
